This would provide the critical infrastructure for sustenance of economic and social life of metro cities. Besides, frontline staff is being trained for a better user friendly services. A pilot project for computerized issue of tickets for unreserved services, introduced this year on Northern Railway, has been sanctioned to facilitate issue of such tickets in advance also. In addition, computerized passenger reservation terminals are being provided at all district headquarters.
