Workshop On Photo-Journalism
New Delhi: March 12, 2003 Photo Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing a five-day workshop cum refresher course on "Aspect of Photojournalism and the Role of Digital Photography for Speedy Communication" at New Delhi from 13th to 17th March, 2003. A special emphasis has been given for the State Government photographers and newspaper photographers from the North Eastern States. About 30 delegates from Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep, Tripura, Assam, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and some representatives from the Central Government offices are participating in the Workshop at Soochna Bhawan, CGO Complex, New Delhi. Eminent photojournalists like N. Tyagrajan, former Chief Photographer Hindustan Times, O. P. Sharma Secretary, India International Photographic Council, John Dougall, Photo Editor AFP. Shankar Chakarborty, Chief Photographer Hindu, IT expert in communication Satish Sharma of AP will be sharing their experience during the course of Workshop.
