Lok Sabha: Bulk Drugs In DPCO
New Delhi: March 11, 2003 In its Order dated the 31st August, 2001, the Bombay High Court has held, interalia, that seven bulk drugs, viz., Ciprofloxacin, Doxycycline, Glipizide, Salbutamol, Theophylline, Norfloxacin and Cloxacillin do not fall within the purview of Drugs (Price Control) Order, 1995. Against this Order, the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court of India has admitted the SLP. This information was given by Dr. Chhattra Pal Singh, Minister of State for Chemicals & fertilizers, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today. Press Release by: PIB/AM/Hb |
