New Delhi: June 27, 2003

A high level delegation headed by Union Minister of Rural Development, Shri Kashiram Rana is leaving for Geneva today. Shri Rana will address Plenary Session of United Nations Economic & Social Council on "Promoting an integrated approach to rural development in developing countries for poverty eradication and sustainable development."

Shri Rana will also participate in the Ministerial Round Table discussion on "Natural Resources and Rural Development in Developing countries", Agro Industries in Rural Area" and "Market Access for Rural Development" during his three-days visit to Geneva.
