Ajay Prasad takes over as new Defence Secretary
New Delhi: July 14, 2003

Shri Ajay Prasad an officer of the 1969 batch of the Himachal Pradesh cadre of the Indian Administrative Service took over as Secretary, Ministry of Defence here today. Before taking over as Secretary in Ministry of Defence he was Officer on Special Duty to the Deputy Prime Minister. Earlier he worked as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Defence. He has replaced Shri Subir Dutta, who has already taken over as Member Union Public Services Commission.
