Multi Modal Transport System
New Delhi: August 14, 2003

The works of Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) linking Secunderabad-Kachiguda-Falaknuma are going on as per schedule.

The project for up-gradation of routes Hyderabad/Secunderabad-Lingampally and Secunderabad-Falaknuma as phase-I of MMTS has been sanctioned in the Works Programme at a cost of Rs. 69.64 crores. The cost is being shared in the ratio of 50:50 between the Railways and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Full funds have been provided.

The work is likely to be completed in the year 2003.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi in the Lok Sabha today.
