Hotel Baseraa adds another landmark of finest tradition in hospitality - PICKLES
The only 24-hour speciality coffee shop of its kind in Secunderabad
|
Hyderabad: August 25, 2003
Hotel Baseraa, the first three star hotel in Secunderabad embarks on an expansion plan in an effort to transform one step further to four star category. Part of this among other expansion plans, it adds PICKLES, to begin with, the only 24 hour speciality coffee shop in the area where it is located.
Disclosing this addressing a Press Conference Monday afternoon Mr. Amar Ohri, Executive Director of Hotel Baseraa, informed after a toast to the great cricketers masters and living legends at ‘Outswinger’ and extraordinary multi-cuisine experience at ‘Mehfil’ its time to rejoice at PICKLES for light meal, discussion meeting and as a refreshingly different choice or whatever could be the reason. PICKLES offers one more choice to the discerning customers who earlier had only Mehfil, the multi cuisine restaurant, the only restaurant to offer live ghazals to its customers since 1981.
The family of Ohri’s have given several unique theme restaurants to the city --’Mings’s Court’, ‘Silver Metro’, ‘Gufaa’ and ‘Havmor’ all under one roof Ohri’s Cuisine Court, now they offer yet another landmark of finest tradition in hospitality.
According to Renu & Siraj, the duo behind the design of the PICKLES, the Coffee Shop with its new lobby inside has been designed along unique lines with a modern look. And has an ambience promising to be inviting. As it goes by the name without saying, most enchanting at PICKLES is the articulate ‘MOBILE PICKLES TROLLY’ that carries a wide range (25 varieties, Bell Pepper, Som-tam alike) of pickles, the perennial hot favourite of Andhrites. One can relish complimentary pickles of choice along with sumptuous delicacies.
PICKLES promises a gourmet experience starting from a rich unpretentious steaming hot Cappuccino, Mochaccino to Cold Coffee, Shakes, Havmor Desserts (40 years old own brand) and succulent delicacies varying from Indian, Lebanese, Thai, Italian, Mexican to the delicious Andhra cuisine. An ideal place to have a light meal PICKLES would serve breakfast, lunch and dinner -- buffet and ala carte.
It would be open for 24 hours, serving breakfast from 7 to 10.30am, lunch and dinner from 11am to 11.30pm, buffet lunch from 12.30 noon till 3.30pm. One can relish the Zero-Hours Biryani between 00:00 hours to 02.30am.
Beginning in the year 1981 by Mr. Ravi Kumar Ohri, 35 room Hotel Baseraa, a synonym to home, today has grown to be a 77 room property. And already started the work of renovation. Already ten rooms have been refurbished. Rest will follow soon. Soon it plans to open a 6000 sq feet Food Court at Prasad I-Max Theatre. One more Food Court Complex to be followed in Banjara Hills, with three more restaurants and one Studio Apartments to come up in the city. Ohri’s Cuisine Court will be expanded to Bangalore and Havmor to Pune in the year 2004. With all these expansion plans on the card it will have all together 11 restaurants in the city by the end of the year 2003.
Baseraa over a period of 22 years become a name to reckon for food and hospitality in the city. It came out with Baseraa Inn & Ohri’s Cuisine Court both at Basheerbagh in the year 1999. It’s distinctive style of hospitality coupled with personalised service, fine quality delicious food to the likes of its patrons, earned it many awards and rewards. Hotel Baseraa and BASERAA INN(21 rooms) both bagged ‘TOURISM AWARD OF EXCELLENCE’ for the year 2001. OHRI’S CUISINE COURT was awarded ‘THE BEST MULTICUISINE RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR 2001’ by H&FS. Association of Catering Professionals accredited MINGS COURT at Ohri’s as ‘THE BEST RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR 2002’.
PICKLES will be formally open to public on 28th August. Drop in for a whole new rejoicing and exciting experience.
