Nov 25, 2001 Four people died in a road accident in Vizianagaram district in the early hours. A Load of lorry lost control near Cheepurupalli which led to the accident. Oct 12, 2001 One construction worker from Orissa died when he slipped off a stair case during a construction work. Sep 29, 2001 One person was killed while 8 more injured in clashes between the TDP and Congress groups in Vizianagaram. Sep 28, 2001 CI killed by Naxals in front of Magistrate In a brutal attack, naxals of the Peoples War Group attacked in the Saluru Court Hall and killed Circle Inspector Mr. Maddada Gandhi and his gunman before the Magistrate and took away guns and artillery from them. The incident happened at 1:25 PM when 4 unidentified naxals attacked. Sep 4, 2001 3 persons died on the spot when a lorry overturned on its way from Vijayanagaram.
