Dec 27, 2001 30,000 staff to work for Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections Hyderabad Election Authority, Mr. P K Mahanthi said that about 30,000 staff will be deployed for the upcoming Municipal Corporation Elections of Hyderabad and that efficient training will be provided to them to see that the elections take place peacefully and in fair means. He said that Hyderabad Municipality has 26.5 voters and that 3064 polling stations will be setup for the elections. Oct 24, 2001 Mr. S Panduranga Rao is dead The General Secretary of Hyderabad City Congress Committee, Mr. S Panduranga Rao was found dead at a railway crossing in the early hours. Mr. Rao was out for a morning walk but hasen't returned home even after hours. His body was found to be runover by an Express train and was found in pieces.
