Dec 13, 2001 Naxals of the Peoples War Group Naxals killed a person in Cuddapah believing him to be a police informer. Nov 3, 2001 CM visits Nellore and Cuddapah flood effected areas Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu visited many flood effected areas of Nellore and Cuddapah including Venkatagiri constituency, Alapaleru dam and Teluguganga canal today. Women who met him said that they have not received any help from the Government. CM monitored the post-flood help that the Government will be extended necessary help. He also promised that sufficient funds will be allocated for the construction and repair works of roads, lakes etc. Nov 2, 2001 Two school going students drowned in a pit in Cuddapah district. Oct 21, 2001 CLP Leader Dr. Y S Raja Sekhar Reddy demanded the Government to grant an ex gratia of Rs. 5 Lakhs for the families of persons who lost their lives due to floods besides compensating the actual losses of affected persons. Oct 17, 2001 CM visits flood effected areas in Cuddapah and Nellore Chief Minister Sri Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will take all possible steps to come to the rescue of people which was effected with heavy rains in Cuddapah and Nellore Districts. He asked the officials to restore power in the districts. He promised the people that help will be extended to all the people effected thus.
