Farmers storms Zilla Parishad office
A Group of farmers stormed the Zilla Parisha office and disturbed the meeting of the General Body demanding for the release of water beyond the schedule from the Gajuladinne Project. The District Collector Mr. G Sai Prasad tried to conceal the farmers saying that the Government will have to take a decision in this regard.

Naxals blasts Rail Engine, Cinema Theater
Naxals of the Peoples War Group blasted an Electric Rail Engine and a suburb Railway station. The loss to the engine is about Rs. 50 Lakhs and to the building is Rs. 2 Lakhs. They also blasted a theatre owned by Nandyal MP Mr. Bhuma Nagireddu at Gajulapalli.

PG Doctors should work in a Govt. hospital for at least 5 years
Health Minister Sri N Janardhan Reddy said that the Government will be making it compulsory for a PG Doctor to work in a Government hospital for at least 5 years. He inaugurated the CT Scan facilities and Casualty and Dialysis Theaters and Neurosurgery at the General Hospital at Kurnool.
