Hostlers demand continuing hostel rooms at OU
Students and Hostlers of Osmania University staged a rastha rokho at the main entrance of the University demanding the University to continue to provide hostel rooms which were to be vacated from tomorrow. They asked the University officials to look into the interests of the students since many of them were appearing for B.Ed and DSE Examinations.

Film Actress Pratyusha died after she committed suicide last night. She and her boy friend were admitted in CARE Hospital last night. She died within few minutes of joining while her boy friend was struggling for life. Unofficial sources says the her boy friends parents did not agree for their marriage. Hyderabad Police announced that the Chairman Mr. G Gnaniah and Manager Mr. Srinuvas Rao of Sravya Urban Co-Operative Bank was arrested. It may be recalled that the bank was in recent news with non payment of deposit money to its customers and the bank was sealed by the police recently. The Case is being investigated by ACP Mr. Mohammed Ismal and Inspector Mr. MA Raoof and found that about Rs. 6.75 Crores of the money was sanctioned to a spurious firm as an advance.

Special Returning Officers, Sector Incharge and Ward Incharge were arranged and are provided with Cellphone or Telephones for faster communication. Special Cell is being set up at MCH to provide updated results.

The Municipal Elections in Hyderabad ended peacefully. Voters are seens casting their votes right from the early polling hours. Among leaders who casted their votes today were Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu, TRS leader Mr. Narayana Narasimha Reddy, MIM Chief Salauddin Owaisi. About 55% of polling was reported in Hyderabad. Counting for these elections will be done on 24th.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, Mr. P Ramulu said that only the Candidate and an agent who will be from people of Hyderabad region will be allowed and that no outsiders will be allowed to enter and if any such incident takes place, their vehicles will be sealed and case against them will be booked.
