People in large numbers has organized demonstrated asking for the wide spread use of Telugu language. A demonstration in Kurnool organized by Telugu Basha Vikasa Udhyamam asked for wide use of language in Government offices. Feb 5, 2003 Members of Podupu Lakshmi DWACRA Groups committees staged a dharna at Collector's Office in Kurnool asking revolving funds and marketing facilities to the groups. They asked for training programs and payment of salaries by Government.
