5 of a family found missing as boat overturns
5 persons of the same family were found missing when the boat in which they were traveling overturned near Kinnerasani in Khammam. The small boat that was carrying them over turned as the water flow increased. Rescue teams from Singareni were deployed and were carrying search operations.

An Intermediate student studying in a private college in Khammam died committing suicide unable to bear humiliation as his friends continued to tease him since a long time. Police registered a case and post-mortem was conducted.

He inaugurated a new telephone based service where in a villager can report of a problem or ask for suggestions to Government authorities by calling to telephone number 111.

Fire accident in Khammam destroys Rs. 1 Crore worth property
A fire accident in Aaluchauka in Khammam has burnt over 150 houses and loss of Rs. 1 Crore worth property. The Regional Panchayat office and Post Office were also among those which are caught fire. Minister Sri T Nageswara Rao spoke with District Collector and asked to make necessary arrangements.

An RTC Bus has hit cyclists coming from the opposite direction killing all of them in Khammam. The dead were going to the local vegetable market to sell their produce. Driver of the bus was taken into custody.
