Naxals surrenders before Guntur police
Two naxals of the People's War Group Bellamkonda group and a sympathizer surrendered before the Guntur police. The two naxals were involved in decoit of food grains and blasting of telephone exchanges. Rs. 5000 was given to them as relief fund.

Two naxals killed in encounter in Guntur
2 naxals belonging to the Peoples War Group died in an encounter early in the morning. Pamphlets asking people not to participate in the Janmabhoomi program were recovered from them. The incicent occurred in Rosuru area of Guntur. One of those who was killed - Venkatrao was involved in blasting a bank.
