Pilgrims in large numbers continued to come to Rajahmundry and Kotilingalarevu as a part of the Godavari Pushkarams. There is still some more time according to the Oriya Panchangam.

Pilgrims continued to come to the ghats being setup by the Government as a part of the Godavari Pushkarams despite rain. Rain water has joined River Godavari thus increasing the speed of flow of water.

Godavari Pushkarams as per an ancient belief began today with Guru planet entering into Sun. Over 25,000 devotees performed Ganga Pooja at Kotilingaala Revu. Many of the pilgrims were unhappy with the faculties in the area.

YSR's Paadayatra suspended for a day
CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's Paadayatra program was suspended for yet another day as his health condition wasn't to normal levels. Dr YSR was treated with medicines for fluctuating and low BP besides loose motions at a camp near Rajahmundry. Meanwhile, a team of members from the Congress were coming to Rajahmundry to meet the CLP Leader.

Janmabhoomi program - TDP supporters pet program
CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that Janmabhoomi was the pet program for most TDP leaders as the program was benefiting TDP supporters more than to people. He visited East Godavari as a part of his Paadayatra Program and interacted with people in Devarapalli and Gopalapuram areas. He said that Food For Work program was not conducted well and has not come to the rescue of farmers even in this severe drought situation. He said that Polavaram project is not a recent request from Congress but was there even before.

East Godavari District Congress Committee completed all arrangements for CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's visit to the district. DCC President said that people's problem will be highlighted at the meeting organized at Rajahmundry Arts College grounds.
