District Collector of Cuddapah Mr. Jayesh Ranjan inaugurated a Turmeric Cultivation meet for the benefit of farmers. Experts from regional agricultural labs and Universities took part and gave advice to the farmers.

Farmer dies consuming pesticide in Cuddapah
A farmer chose to end his life having no way of repaying debts the accumulated due to failure of crop in Cuddapah. The farmer, aged 32, consumed pesticide before being admitted to the local hospital. Congress leader in the area C Narayana Reddy said that the Hospital staff showed no interest in saving the life of the farmer and staged dharna.

A farmer died consuming pesticide in Nallaguttapalle village of Cuddapah district. He took the extreme step unable to pay back the loans taken for the cotton crop that failed.

Members of the Truth Finding Committee that went to Rayachoti to find facts related to the recent encounter in Cuddapah where Peoples War member Prasad alias Devanna was killed had a bad taste when they were lathi carged by the police. Several activists from Revolutionary Writers Association (Virasam) and Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee were lathicharged.

Naxals kills TDP leader
Naxals of People's War Group created havoc killing TDP Leader Mr. Saigam Basareddy at Rayachoti mandal in Cuddapah. Olive green dressed naxals left a leaflet stating that they killed Basareddy for harassing local agricultural farmers in the region. They earlier destroyed furniture in the house. They took away bags of food grains and ground nut from the house.

Naxals blasts Forest Office and Railway Station
Naxals of the People's War Group blasted a Forest Office and Pillampet Railway Station with powerful detonators and took away Rs. 1500 in cash and a calculator from the Station Master. The incident happened on Veerapalli mandal of Cuddapah.
