Farmers in Krishna river delta water demonstrated against the Government for not providing them water at Vijayawada. The farmers were supported by Congress party.

A team involved in the manufacture of fake paints of leading Indian brands including Asian Paints and Nerolac was arrested in Vijayawada. Over Rs. 2 Lakh worth paints items were recovered from them. They used to sell the paints under the Saradhi Paints and Chemicals.
