IETE Meet begins in Hyderabad
CMD of BSNL Mr. Singh was in Hyderabad. He took part in the Golden Jubliee celebrations of the IETE at Osmania University today. Speaking at the inaugural meet, he said that BSNL is considering providing a new scheme which enables Telephone, Television and Internet servers over a single copper line. The service is tested thoroughly in Calcutta and will be offered at a cost of Rs. 1200 a month in three cities first and later extend the same to 10 cities. The necessary equipment for providing this service is expected during this month. IETE is planning to increase its centers across the country to 50.

Charminar Police arrests one related to baby-misappropriation case
Mrs. Mahabooda Begum - a person involved in the recent child misappropriation case from a Hyderabad hospital was arrested by Charminar police this morning. She was put before Namapalli IInd Metropolitan Magistrate who has ordered for judicial custody. Mrs. Begum has an option of taking a bail on deposit of Rs. 5000/- which she did not take. She said that she was not alone involved in the case and that Hospital staff were also behind the task.

Pirated CD's in large numbers recovered
In a major drive by the Police Department, over 10,000 priated Compact Discs and Computers used to duplicate them were recovered from an inter-state who sells the CD's in Bangalore and Chennai as center. Joint Commissioner AK Khan said that a teams of Policemen raided various video library centers in the district and seized CD's of latest movies in the Tamil, Malyalam, Telugu and Hindi languages. Blue films were also in the list of recovered CD's.
