An ex-gratia of Rs. 3 Lakh to the families of the dead of the recent bus blast in Warangal by People's War Group was announced by the Government.

20 dies when naxals blasts a bus
Over 20 persons died when Naxals of the People's War Group blasted a bus thinking it as a Police jeep at Eturunagaram which is 160 Kms from Warangal City. The incident happened at 6:45 PM. It is believed that over 5 Kgs of ammunition was stuffed in the landmine whose intensity made the bus to fly up to 20 feet in the air and fell down upside down. Those passenger who survived could break the rear glass and could escape.

5 naxals killed in an encounter
5 Naxals of the extremist People's War Group including 2 women were killed in an encounter in Ilapur forests in Warangal. Police recovered weapons and other artillery from the area.
