2 persons were arrested in Tenali by the Vijayawada Police for selling fake Rs. 1 Revenue stamps in Krishna and Guntur districts. ACP Mr. Ramreddy said that the stamps were printed in Sivakasi.

The 11 Kids who were detained at the Vijayawada railway station were sent back to Tamil Nadu by the Railway Protection Force(RPF). The kids were sent to Chennai by the Pinakini Express in the morning. According to the Inspector, M Chenchaiah the kids were sent along with 7 elders which included 5 women.

Members of AITUC staged a demonstration at Vijayawada Sub-Collectorate office on 2nd Labor Commission Reforms. They said that the reforms looks like an exit policy and was not looking at the basic requirements such as minimum wages.

Congress, CPI Corporators in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation blocked the car of Minister Mr. NMD Farooq at Municipal Guest House and demanded for an explanation as to why they were not being consulted when the Corporation has decided to sell property Rs. 100 Crores worth of Shopping complex and Kalyanamantapams without contacting. Municipal Commissioner and Mayor tried to convince the members but was in vain. The Minister said that the Municipality and its Corporate members will contact council before the Government takes a decision.

Ozomen capsule factory seized
The factory and stocks room of Fizi Chem factory at Vijayawada were being raided by Drug Department as the Ayurvedic capsules being manufactured by the company carried some dangerous drug compositions. Over 40 lakh capsules of Ozomen, Ozomen Forte and others were seized and some of these were sent to laboratories for further analysis.

Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner said the Corporation took up a decision to sell the Government property which costs over Rs. 100 Crores. Congress and Left parties questioned as to how the Commissioner can take a decision on the issue without their consent.
