November 8, 2002 The Vijayawada Police Commissioner has announced that the District Police has arrested an inter-state gang involved in theft of several cars. September 5, 2002 Ozomen capsule factory seized The factory and stocks room of Fizi Chem factory at Vijayawada were being raided by Drug Department as the Ayurvedic capsules being manufactured by the company carried some dangerous drug compositions. Over 40 lakh capsules of Ozomen, Ozomen Forte and others were seized and some of these were sent to laboratories for further analysis. September 3, 2002 Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner said the Corporation took up a decision to sell the Government property which costs over Rs. 100 Crores. Congress and Left parties questioned as to how the Commissioner can take a decision on the issue without their consent. |
