October 19, 2002 A Teachers group from Netherlands monitored the facilities and methods of teaching in Srikakulam today. They had a chat with the Collector who explained the facilities offered and methods of teaching in the district. September 19, 2002 As many as 200 detonators which were illegally transferred from one place to another were being seized by Srikakulam District Police. 4 bundles of Fuse Wires, 49 kgs of potassium nitrate and others were recoevered from them. September 18, 2002 Srikakulam MLA Mr. Appalasuryanarayana spoke at a program being organized at the AP Rural Banks Union and said that he will oppose the Chalapati Committee for privatization of rural banks. September 13, 2002 Selections for State teams for next year's National School Games began at Kode Ramamurthy Stadium in Srikakulam.
