3-day BJP State-level meet begins The 3-day BJP State-level meet began at Bhimavaram in West Godavari today. Senior Leaders of the Party including Sri Chilakam Ramachandra Rao, Krishnam Raju and others participated in the meet. Various Topics like Food-for-work, Drought will be discussed in the meeting. May 31, 2002 Poor turnout at Amalapuram Lok Sabha bypoll The Bypoll at Amalapuram for the Lok Sabha election turned out to be peaceful with a poor poll turnout. The overall percentage of poll was 39.1% when compared to previous turnout's which were over 70%. Mar 9, 2002 5 people died when a Car met with an accident with an Oil Tanker in West Godavari. The people in the Car were on their way to Dwaraka Tirumala. Mar 3, 2002 About 10 Dalit organizations which met at Eluru demanded a judicial probe into the accident that took the life of their beloved leader Sri Balayogi.
