3 injured as College building floor tumbles down
3 students escaped with injured when a 100 year old college building being used as the Govt. Junior, Degree Women College's 2nd floor collapsed all of a sudden in Vaddepalli in Warangal. The building which is used as a college is build during the Nizam rule. Over 2500 students were studying in the college. The In charge-Principal of the College said that R and D Authorities have been alerted of this long back but they always used to do minor repairs.

It was a usual exchange of fire between the Naxals and the Police Force. Encounters in Prakasam and Warangal districts left 6 naxals dead and recovery of Light Machine Guns and other ammunition.

Naxals of the Peoples War Group tried to attack on the Mandal President of Chityala in Warangal. A teacher - Mr. Nagesh who was passing by had a severe injury when a bullet when through his skull. He was admitted to the hospital and was in severe condition.

RTC National Majdoor Union said that they will hold hunger strike at all over the state as a protest for consideration of their demands on 11 and 12th. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held by NMU at Warangal.

Warangal District Collector K Prabhakar Reddy announced the loans schedule 2002-03 financial year for the district at the District Collectorate today. He said that industries need to take any additional permissions at the District and can open their establishments in the district.

Mahanadu program begins at Warangal
Telugu Desam Party President Sri N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the party's annual Mahanadu programme at Warangal this morning. Over 6000 party workers, Ministers and party functionaries from all over the state came to the venue. A total of 36 declarations are expected to be made in the 3-day events.
