Jul 4, 2002 Ms. Karanam Uma Devi wins Medak Assembly seat TDP Candidate for the Medak Assembly constituency and wife of former Minister Sri Karanam Ramachandra Rao - Ms. Karanam Uma Devi won the election beating her nearest rival from Congress with a margin of 6000 votes. With use of Electronic voting machines, the results were announced in just 2 hrs time. Good fight in votes was visible between the TDP, Congress and TRS candidates during the first round. About Medak Constituency Jul 2, 2002 Elections in Medak ends peacefully The elections in Medak for the Medak Assembly constituency ended up peacefully without any violence. Work was completed with ease with the introduction of Electronic Voting Machines. About 68% attended the polls and casted their voted. About Medak Constituency Jul 1, 2002 All set for Medak Assembly elections Election commission said that all arrangements for tomorrow's assembly elections at Medak were completed and that police forces are deployed to see that the elections takes place safely.
