Apple pays tribute to Steve Jobs on his first death anniversary

On the first death anniversary of legendary Steve Jobs, Apple has honored the firm owner Steve Jobs by replacing its homepage with a video that honors Steve Jobs. The Apple homepage normally showcases its products.

The video which lasts 1-minute 45-seconds features black and white still image sand quotes from Steve Jobs. Some of the greatest inventions of Apple including iMac, iPod and iPhone were shown in the video. Snippets from product launches of Steve Jobs were showcased in the video. The Apple CEO Tim Cook also paid homage to its former boss saying, "Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the great privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future." The message appears at the end of the video.

The town of Cupertino, which is the home to Apple, will have its flag at civic centre to be flown at half-staff today.

Steve Jobs died on 5 October 2011 at the age of 56 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
