Technology swaps geeky image for favourite hi-tech chic

Aston Martin cars have been named top hi-tech chic of the year by CoolBrands.

London, September 13 : Aston Martin cars have been named top hi-tech chic of the year by CoolBrands.

While iPod music players were second on the list of top 20 cool items, Internet website YouTube was on third position.

Bang and Olufsen hi-fi got a mention on the fourth place on the list, while the top five was wrapped up by the Google search website.

"The list is a reflection of changing needs, wants and interests. You could argue it's split into two categories - things that become cool by virtue of their prevalence, like Google. And things you really want but may never get - like a Rolex or a Ferrari," the Sun quoted Stephen Cheliotis of the CoolBrands Council as saying.

Technology expert Susi Weaser added: "Having the right MP3 player is more important than the right trainers."
