Agitation for special status intensifies with the foiling of Jagan deeksha

• Jagan to seek appointment to meet the Prime Minister.

YSRCP leader and party speaker Ambati Rambabu said that the foiling of Jagan Mohan Reddy indefinite fast is anti-democracy.

Speaking to press on Tuesday, he alleged that the ruling government that failed to initiate steps for getting special category status has created hurdles on the leader of the Opposition who is striving in this direction. He said that it is shameful on the part of the government. Just by foiling the deeksha, the agitation will not stop.

Announcing the schedule of agitational programmes, he said that a protest rally would be taken from PWD grounds to Chief Minister Camp office on Wednesday at 3pm. All MPs, MLAs, former MLAs, MPs, leaders and party cadre will participate.
Relay hunger strikes would be taken up in all constituencies from October 17 to 21.
Dharna would be organized on October 19 before government offices.
Candle rallies would be taken up on 20th evening in all constituencies.
Dharnas would be stage before RTC depots on 21 to take the agitational programmes to the notice of the Prime Minister, he said.

Two supporters die for foiling Jagan hunger strike

Two supporters of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy whose hunger strike was foiled by police and deteriorating health condition of Jagan.

Mungara Nageswara Rao of Nagulupplapadu of Prakasam district died of heart attack when he was watching TV news of deteriorating health condition of Jagan Mohan Reddy. His family members have rushed him to hospital but were declared brought dead. He is survived by two daughters and a son.

In another incident, Nangu China Venkata Subba Reddy (42) of Karlapalem from Guntur died of heart attack while watching the police foiling Jagan hunger fast saying that the State will not get Special Status and collapsed. He was rushed to a private hospital at Karlapalem and later shifted to Ponnuru where doctors declared him dead.
