Acharya Nagarjuna University opens today after the suicide of Rishiteswari

Acharya Nagarjuna University will reopen today after ten days holidays declared after the suicide of B.Arch student M.Rushitheswari.

Sources said that there will be frisking at the gates and IDs will be checked. Outsiders will be barred entry and there will be CCTV cameras under the gazed of which all interactions be conducted. There will be a peace rally in honour of her memory and pledges will be made to rid the campus of ragging, caste-based unions etc.,

Diary reveals more information:
So far, Rishiteswari who wrote ‘My Last Note’ a suicide note is said to be the one but more interesting facts are taking to light with some more events in the diary. She reportedly has written the persons who drove her to the extreme step and also some events that hurt her in the university was written. A telugu news daily who reportedly got it said that there were some striking of the names in it. According to it, she mentioned the party at the Fresher’s Day party at Hai Lands at Chinakakani on April 2014, some students misbehaved with her and the names of the persons mentioned were strike off. She reportedly written that those she believed as best friends have cheated her with their misbehaving. In her diary some names were struck off leads to some doubts whether she or somebody else have struck off the names. She said in her dairy that five students have harassed her but all the five names were struck off. The police have made public of the ‘My Last Note’ and did not reveals the rest of the pages. Police investigation deep into the aspects along with others will bring the culprits to book.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao briefs to Governor:
Governor and Chancellor ESL Narasimhan enquired about the case of Rishiteswari with the HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao who met him at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday evening in the back drop of demands of a CBI inquiry by YSRCP to Union Home Minister. He explained him of the developments being taken place and actions that are being taken to arrest ragging in Universities. The Governor advised him to undertake awareness campaigns in all universities.
