Suspected terrorists hijack a car on Jammu and Srinagar Highway.

A car from Punjab has been hijacked on the Jammu and Srinagar Highway in the Ramban district.
Sources said that some persons travelling in the car told the driver to get down and sped away with the vehicle. Inspector General of Police Rajesh Kumar said that there is no trace of the vehicle till now and the police and security are making efforts to trace the vehicle. Security agencies have been sounded high alert.
The car bearing a Punjab registration PB-35T 4434 was being driven by one Karanveer Signh of Pathankot in Punjab who told to the police that he was heading towards Srinagar form Jammu and had four persons on the board. He said that the two Punjabi speaking persons hired the car on August 11 at 5pm for Srinagar at the rate of Rs.7,000. The suspected persons introduced themselves as tourists and were speaking Punjabi and Hindi.
Police suspected that two Pakistani terrorists might have entered from Punjab border and entered Jammu with the help of two local terrorists and they are likely to strike as suicide bombers on Independence Day function in Srinagar.
