'Entire process of bifurcation is undemocratic and unconstitutional', says TDP chief
January 31, 2014 - Hyderabad
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu alleged on Friday that the entire process of bifurcation is undemocratic and unconstitutional.
Naidu addressing a press conference in Hyderabad said that he was denied to speak of his views and intentions on the Bill though expressed several times to the Speaker including to the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said that he was told to speak on January 27 after concluding the speech of Kiran Kumar Reddy but he gave notice for resolution after which the House was adjourned. He said that it was all part of the drama scripted by Congress leadership in Delhi and enacted by Congress, TRS and YSRCP.
The TDP chief wanted to know where was the urgency for the President to state in his communiqué that the Bill had to go to the Parliament as early as possible. 'if the Centre wants to divide the State according to Article 3, then why the Bill was sent to the Assembly', he said.
