YSRCP withdraw notice of no-confidence before it is taken up
January 17, 2014 - Hyderabad
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh on Friday charged YSRCP for withdrawing the no-confidence motion before the Lok Sabha takes it up for voting.
Speaking to media, CM Ramesh said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and M Raja Mohan Reddy withdrew their notice on December 18, 2012 when Lok Sabha was to take up for voting. He said that the TDP could gain the support of 50 MPs for the motion.
YSRCP brushes aside the allegation
YSRCP leader MV Mysoora Reddy brushed aside the allegation and said that the TDP was deliberately distorting fats to gain political mileage. He said that the party had given notice on seven of the eight working days of the Parliament and 'when the Lok Pal Bill was to be discussed, we told the Speaker to post our notice to the next day but the House was adjourned sine die after passing the Bill', said Mysoora Reddy.
