May 4, 2014 - Hyderabad
BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu said BJP would get clear majority in the general elections and said it will not require the support of YSR Congress Party.
Venkaiah Naidu said that NDA will form the government at Centre and the support of parties like YSRCP are not required, he said. It may be recalled here that the YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced in a road show on Saturday of his intention to support to BJP in the larger interests of the State. Jagan appealed to people to vote for the party to have better bargaining with the Centre.
Venkaiah Naidu posed questions that in 2004 elections, he said that Congress had an alliance with TRS. He questioned whether it is it not the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy who sent a 41 MLA delegation to the NDA government demanding a separate State?
