YSRCP stalls the House demanding a debate on State Capital

Members of YSRCP on Wednesday stalled the proceedings of the House insisting a debate on the new State Capital.
The leader of the Opposition Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded and wanted to know when a discussion would be taken up on the issue. He asked how the government could unilaterally decide where the Capital should be located even without a discussion on Sivaramakrishnan Committee report’, he asked.
Intervening the issue, Minister for Sports K Atchamnaidu said that the Chief Minister would make a statement on the issue in the Assembly on Thursday. Jagan reminded the House of the situation that arose in July 1953 wherein the Assembly discussed the issue for full five days and decided the State Capital and voting was conducted.
Jagan wondered and said ‘what is the use of conducting a discussion and voting after a statement by the Chief Minister?
