YSRCP observes bandh at Giddalur in protest against the high handedness of Sub-Inspector

YSRCP gave a call for bandh at Giddalur in Prakasam district on Tuesday in protest against the highhandedness of the Sub-inspector that resulted in the death of YSRCP leader Vyja Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy.

The ASP held talks with MLA Ashok Reddy who is staging dharna before the police station demanding action against the SI. The ACP assured the agitating leaders that an inquiry will be taken up against the police officer and action would be taken.

Following the assurance, the agitating YSRCP leaders and cadre called off their agitation and the dead body has seen sent for post-mortem.

It may be recalled that YSRCP leader and Giddalur Cooperative Society president Vyja Bhaskar Reddy was manhandled by Giddalur Sub Inspector(48) at the police station on the immediate midnight of Monday and died instantly following cardiac arrest. He is the brother of MLA Ashok Reddy who staged dharna before the police station along with party activists.
