YSRCP to appeal in High Court on the ZP Chairman elections
July 13, 2014 - Hyderabad
YSRCP is planning to approach the High Court on the election of Prakasam Zilla Parishad Chairman following the arrest of Markapuram ZPTC member Javvadi Ranga Reddy.
Sources said that YSRPC is planning to move a lunch motion. It is likely to urge the High Court to see that the ZP Chairman Election should be conducted in a free and fair manner.
It may be recalled that the elections are being held on Sunday and the ZPTC member was arrested by police when he was moving from Hyderabad to Ongole on an alleged ST atrocity case. YSRCP alleged that the arrest is a part of conspiracy of the ruling TDP to take over the ZP Chairman seat.
