Former Union Minister Ch. Vidyasagara Rao appointed as Maharashtra Governor

The President of India Pranab Mukherjee has appointed the former Union Minister and BJP leader from Telangana Chennamaneni Vidyasagara Rao as Governor of Maharashtra.
Vidyasagara Rao was born in 1945 and studied science and law at Osmania University. A lawyer by profession, he was elected to AP State Legislative Assembly for three times. Vidyasagara Rao was earlier elected as MP for 12tha and 13th Lok Sabha from Karimanagar for two times and a three time MLA worked as Union Minister of State for Internal Affairs in Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in 1999.
