Venkaiah Naidu for special category status for ten years if BJP voted to power

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M Venkaiah Naidu said that the special category status for Seemandhra for a period of ten years if the BJP is voted to power at the Centre.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Venkaiah Naidu said that they would not hesitate to go for amendment the Constitution if a legal tangle broke up. He charged the Congress for the manner in which it went ahead with the division of the State for political gains. Charging the Congress that it had lost foresight and indulging in vote bank politics, he said that the Congress had prepared for formation of Telangana State after poll surveys showed it in negative picture.

People to decide to whom the credit goes

Saying that the formation of Telangana State was only possible because of BJP, he said that people very well known to whom the credit goes. Reiterating that the BJP that stood on its word in carving Telangana State, he called on the party cadre to concentrate and prepared for the elections.
