United Andhra Pradesh to go for polls in two spells

The Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said on Wednesday that the polls in the united Andhra Pradesh State will be held in two spells i.e. on April 30 and May 7 for all the 294 Assembly and 42 Lok Sabha Constituencies.

Sampath said that 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana will be held on April 30 and remaining 25 in the residual Andhra Pradesh would go for polls on May 7.

All the 119 Assembly segments in Telangana and 175 in residual Andhra Pradesh will be held simultaneously on April 30 and May 7.

Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana

The 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana are: Adilabad, Peddapalli, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Medak, Zaheerabad, Hyderabad, Malkajgiri, Chevella, Secunderabad, Bhongir, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Khammam.

25 Parliamentary Constituencies in Residual Andhra Pradesh

The 25 Parliamentary constituencies in Seemandhra are: Araku, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Kakinada, Eluru, Narsapur, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Guntur, Narasaraopet, Bapatla, Nellore, Ongole, Chittoor, Tirupati, Kadapa, Rajampet, Anantapur, Hindupur, Kurnool, Nandyal.
