Trainee IPS officer Manu Mukt Manav died under suspicious circumstances

A trainee IPS officer Manu Mukt Manav died at Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel National Police Academy under suspicious circumstances on Friday.
IPS trainee officer Manav from Haryana who was allotted to Himachal Pradesh cadre reported died due to drowning in the academy campus at Shivrampally. He was taken to Care Hospital at Banjara Hills where the doctors pronounced as brought dead. The body was sent to Osmania Hospital Mortuary.
Academy director Aruna Bahugana ordered an internal probe into the incident, while Rajendernagar police station under Cyberabad police commissionerate registered a case and launched an investigation.
Manu Mukt hails from Tigra village in Haryana. He secured 180th rank in the UPSE examination in 2012-13. He did his post-graduation from Punjab University.
Manu’s grandfather Pandit Matadin was a freedom fighter and wanted his son Ram Niwas Manav to become a police officer but he has chosen a different profession. To fulfil his father’s dreams, Ram Niwas encouraged his son Manu Mukt to become an IPS officer.
