Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders address press on alliance

Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and BJP official spokesperson Prakash Javadekar at a press conference on Sunday at the residence of the former announced the pre-poll alliance between the parties.

According to the pact, the BJP will contest in 8 Lok Sabha and 47 Assembly seats in Telangana region while 5 Lok Sabha and 15 Assembly seats in Seemandhra region.

These leaders said that the pact is necessary to bury the Congress in the country. They said that corruption had gone to sky level while no development was taken place in the country during the 10-year tenure of Congress. Corruption-free country is only possible with BJP, they said. Naidu said that with alliance there may be some inconvenience to some leaders in both the parties, it is necessary to do so in the interests of the country. Naidu said that the final list of candidates will be announced in a couple of days.
