TDP to select candidates on opinions of voters through IVRS, says Chandrababu Naidu

Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a new trend in selecting the candidates for Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies based on the opinions of voters in their respective constituencies through IVRS.
A tie had been with Tata Group that deploy the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for taking the views of the voters suggesting their candidate in a particular constituency. TDP chief claimed that it is first time that a political party is using the latest information technology skills for selecting of the candidates. It will require 12,000 dedicated lines with each call costing nearly 33 paisa.
Naidu said that the system has been desired that even illiterates could name their choice of the candidates in their constituency with a press of the button. TDP gathered information for nearly 8.3 crore mobile users from different operators and trial run to target the message of a particular constituency to that particular voters has been proved accurate in 70 per cent of the cases.
TDP planned to launch a campaign about the intentions behind launching such technology driven system to enhance the success rate of the selection and wanted the people to volunteer in selecting candidates of their choice.
