TDP demands resolution to reject AP State Reorganization Bill 2013

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) demanded a resolution of the Assembly rejecting the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013 as it did not have any the necessities right from the beginning.

Speaking at a media conference, TDP MLA Payyavula Kesha said that the Speaker had no choice but to move the resolution. He said based on the inputs he received by an application under RTI Act, he said that the Centre had taken a casual approach. The inter-Ministerial consultations which were a key prerequisite did not take place, he said. He said that he received the replies to all the 22 questions unanswered. Obtaining of legal opinion that was mandatory before a cabinet note was also not taken, said Keshav. He said that it was only the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha secretaries who furnished some replies to the questions but too were vague.
