February 16, 2014 - Hyderabad
Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu met BJP prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
Naidu stressed the need for a national debate on the State bifurcation as it pertained to the interest of nine crore Telugu people. He said that the Central Government should accordingly keep the on-going process in abeyance till a broad-based consensus was reached between the stakeholders of the two regions, said Naidu.
Chandrababu Naidu criticised Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar for suspending a section of Seemandhra MPs while sparing MPs from other regions who too were present in the Well in the House. He said that this exposed the partisan manner in which the Chair was acting at the behest of the Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
TDP president met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav at New Delhi airport on Sunday morning to whom he discussed on Telangana issue.
