TDP chief planning to take oath in Vijayawada

Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu who will become the first chief minister of the State post bifurcationis planning to take oath in Vijayawada according to sources.

Discussions are on in the party cadre over the selection of venue for oath taking ceremony. The party was said to have short listed to stage the oath taking ceremony at Vijayawada or Tirupati. Majority of the leaders in the party recommended Naidu to opt Vijayawada as the venue as it is centrally located in the State. However, the chances of Oath taking will take place only on June 2, the appointed day.

New State capital in a year

Though Hyderabad will be the common State capital for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Naidu is planning to create the new State Capital within a year. The Chief Minister's camp office will be likely at Guntur and will function three days a week from there.
