TDP chief announces 2014 as 'Women's year'

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday announced its party manifesto for women in Vijayawada.
Chandrababu Naidu announced a number of measures including healthcare scheme for women and child titled as "Pandanti Bidda' (a healthy baby). He said that the government would pay Rs. 10,000 for a period of six months after delivery.
Announcing the year 2014 as 'Women's year' he said many schemes would be implemented for all round security of women. He assured that security, welfare, health and employment would be provided if TDP is voted to power, said Chandrababu Naidu. He said the Women's Reservation Bill had not been passed due to various political reasons and that his party would fight for passage of the bill in parliament.
