TDP cadre attacks YSRCP leaders and 4 MPTCs abducted

In an alleged attack by TDP men on Sunday on the NH of Guntur-Hyderabad abducted four YSRCP MPTCs –- Sunita Rao, Siva Koteswara Rao, Rajani Priya and Saroji. They took them to an undisclosed location at Medikonduru mandal near Sattenapalli in morning.

In the attack four vehicles of the YSRCP were completely damaged. The MPTCs along with YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu and Guntur East MLA Sk.Mustafa were proceeding towards Muppala for elections to the post of MPP president. The incident took place on the Guntur-Hyderabad NH at around 8am.

YSRCP leader Amabati Rambabu said that a covey of four vehicles including a van carrying the MPTCs was crossing Medikonduru when a mob of 100 persons armed with stones and sticks attacked them. They broke open the windscreens off a vehicle and assaulted the driver with the sticks. They then targeted the van carrying the seven MPTCs and broke open the doors and forcibly dragged four MPTCs.

Ambati Rambabu who lost to Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao in the general elections accused the latter of instigating the attack. He said that he never witnessed such a violent attack. He questioned that is the message that the TDP wants to convey to the people of the State?
