TDP and BJP reach poll understanding

BJP to get 47 Assembly and 8 Lok Sabha in Telangana while 15 Assembly and 5 Lok Sabha in Seemandhra

A day long talks between Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that went on till late in the midnight on Saturday learnt to have reached to an amicable understanding on seat sharing in both Telangana and Seemandhra.

An official announcement by both the TDP and BJP will be issued on Sunday morning . The fortnight long impasse has come to an end with an understanding reached between these two parties. Though the exact number of seas is not available but a broad outstanding was arrived.

It may be recalled that the TDP leadership decided to announce its list of candidates for the elections irrespective of the talks with BJP, TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was expected to announce on Friday itself but was deferred following communication of BJP top leaders. The BJP senior leader and official spokesperson Prakash Javedkar who arrived Hyderabad on Saturday initiated talks with the TDP leadership at a hotel in the city and was later shifted TDP chief residence.
