Supreme Court delivers judgement on EAMCET 2014

The Supreme Court of India on Monday in its judgment on the ongoing EAMCET row clarified that the both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States have to abide by the AP Reorganization Act 2014.
The Apex Court has directed the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education to complete the counselling process by August 31 and commence classes from September 1 and also set a side of the nativity issue.
The court however ruled out of its interference in the Fee reimbursement. The Court dismissed the plea of Telangana Government seeking time for extension of counselling up to October 31.
The advocate for Andhra Pradesh Srinivas said that the Court directed the APSCHE only to conduct the counselling process and the admission process be completed in accordance with Article 371-D. It asked it conduct the admission process under Sec.95 of AP State Reorganization Act.
