Andhra Pradesh gets 211 IAS and 144 IPS posts

The Central Government on Monday has allotted 163 posts of IAS, 112 IPS and 65 IFS to the State.

The decision has come following the recommendations of a six-member committee headed by former Central Vigilance Commissioner Pratyush Singh. The orders have been issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.

Of the total of 163 IAS officers posts to Telangana, one each is for Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary, 10 Principal Secretaries and 27 for Secretaries among others.

Of the 112 IPS posts, one is for DGP, five acre for Additional DGPs, 13 Inspector General, 11 Deputy Inspectors General and 31 Superintendents of Police.

For the 65 IFS, posts, two are for Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, three for Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, five for Chief Conservator of Forests.
